Thursdays | La Penita Market
Explore the weekly La Penita Tianguis (market) and discover local food, gifts, fashion, and art. The tianguis takes places every Thursday and opens at 7 am.

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays
10:30-11:15 am: Aquafit Classes in the heated pool at Aurora Resort. Bring your noodle if required. 60 pesos.

Wednesdays
Crib tournament, entrance fee $50 pesos a person, play in teams of 2. Bring crib board and cards if you have any. Half price margaritas.

Wednesdays until the end of March. Registration at 12:30 pm, tournament from 1 to 4 pm. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and last.

Will be every Wednesday as long as there are enough people to play.

Location: Pikikos Restaurant, north end of Guayabitos beach. Just north of Amigo Vargas Restaurant.

Saturdays until early April
Have you ever wanted to visit the Hilltop Refugio (JEEP)?

Vera leads walking tours most Saturday mornings and/or can arrange Taxis from the LittleFreeLibrary in Guayabitos. The hike is free (although donations to the LFL Project are always welcome); please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat/sunscreen and water.

The morning tour of the facility up at Jeep is a minimum two hundred peso donation per person.

Join us for this free event cohosted with the Little Free Library, Dulce’s roving book cart, and Lopez's Reading Cart. Bring your favourite book or borrow one of ours, and enjoy a morning of reading.

Coffee and tea will be available; BYOmug. A sweet snack will also be served.

Looking forward to meeting local and visitors of all ages to foster shared love of reading!

Make a mat and/or hotpad out of your plastic bags collected here in Guayabitos!

You need a pair of scissors, an 6-8 mm crochet hook (bring one from home, buy one here, or borrow one from Ann Marie) and several plastic bags collected from the shops in town (assorted colours and sizes)

Min suggested donation of $250, with half going to the school where Ann Marie volunteers, and the other half to the LFL

Create a diorama with found objects; bring your beach treasures (bits of shell, driftwood, small pieces of seaglass, etc.) and Donna will inspire you to create a work of art!

Bring heavy duty glue if you can, and some wooden veggie/fruit crates (we’ll have some to borrow as well)

Cinema Guayabitos is playing movies in English this season everyday (except Wednesdays and Sundays) at 1 pm. On Tuesdays, we play in English until the 6 pm shows, after that time we play movies in Spanish.

You must be 20 minutes ahead of your desired movie and ask the clerk to play it in your language (if available)
