Little Free Library & Enchanted Forest
Located near the hotel zone in Guayabitos on the way to Los Ayala, the little free library and enchanted forest offer a free, fun, outdoor destination for young and old alike. Drop off a new or gently used book in Spanish, borrow books in English, Spanish and French. Take advantage of the puzzle and board game exchange: leave a puzzle or take a puzzle! Enjoy a walk through the enchanted forest and see the hand-made and store-bought mobiles, wind chimes and painted rocks donated by other visitors… or bring your own to add to the forest!
New as of February 2025: Check out our new English/French book box in the enchanted forest (the original little library now houses exclusively children’s books and books in Spanish)!
If you’re looking for a place to host happy hour, a language class or other acoustic events, there’s a small gathering space with 9 boulders to sit on. (if anyone is at home next-door at Casa Abierta, you can borrow up to five cushions. Or bring your own beach chairs to set up.)
Visitors are reminded to keep the library neat and tidy, and are encouraged to pick up a few pieces of garbage in the forest to help keep the area clean and beautiful for everyone.
